shine camp 2016

Shine Camp 2017 - bookings now open

Shine Camp takes place every year in the summer holidays. There is no agenda and there are no compulsory activities (except for a group BBQ on the Saturday night). Bring your tent and some food, hang out and chat to others. Many people come alone while others bring their friends, partner, kids (or dogs).

Shine subsidises the trip for Shine members and their first 'plus one' whether that's a partner or a friend. Extra adults need to cover more of their own costs for the trip but we still think it's great value for money!

Join us for our 8th Shine Camp from Friday 28th July to Monday 31st July at Mill Paddock Campsite, near the historic town of Wareham in Dorset.

You can come by yourself or bring your family or friends, there is always a good mix of families and people on their own. From experienced campers to enthusiastic newbies, take a look at these FAQ’s and register your spot now!

Brighton Shine

Come and meet Shine in Brighton!

Shine is coming to Sussex! On 7th December we'll be running two workshops at Macmillan's brand new Horizon Centre in Brighton. If you're in your 20s, 30s or 40s and have experienced a cancer diagnosis, join us for a workshop from 2:30pm to 6:00pm. We'll be having tea and cake and talking about the issues that younger adults with cancer can face after diagnosis.

If you're a healthcare professional, please join us for a lunchtime workshop between 12 noon and 2pm. The workshop will provide an overview of the key issues facing younger adults with cancer and provide information about how healthcare staff can better support young adults.

Vote for us in the Aviva Community fund

Make a difference for young adults living with Cancer.

We are taking part in the Aviva community fund project again!

We are asking Aviva for £10,000 to help us fund next year's Shine Connect. Voting is simple, all we need you to do is to follow the link and vote for Shine - it's a simple as that!

It would also be great if you could share the link with all your family and friends.

Thank you in advance for voting!

We need your help!

Every year Shine runs a survey to understand how we're doing and what we could do better. We'd be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to fill in this survey. It will help us when we're trying to raise money from funders - and there's a £25 gift card for one lucky winner (if you want to add your email address - otherwise you can do the survey totally anonymously!)
