About our coaching Programme:

Since 2016, we've been running a small coaching programme for young adults with cancer. We work with qualified and experienced coaches to give Shine members three sessions of coaching via Skype. Our programme has had great results, with the participants telling us that the sessions gave us the time and space to think about things in a different way, and go on to make some of the changes that they wanted to make. Very often those changes have related to work and employment.

Our lead coach is Emily Hodge. You can read more about her below and also view her own website here coachingemily.com.

Meet Emily

Emily is a life coach with an NHS and health psychology background. She runs Shine’s work and cancer and emotional freedom technique (EFT) sessions at our annual Great Escape as well as leading our Shine coaching programme.

Emily herself had cancer in 2010 when she was working in the NHS. This led her to set up her private coaching practice to help people figure out their routes to recovery after cancer. She’s supported thousands of people in the few years she’s been running her service – through personal transformation coaching, workshops and webinars on topics including ‘what’s my life plan now?’ and ‘anxiety and cancer’ and more.

She works with people both in person in Surrey and London and online.
